I am a classroom teacher. I have taught Grades K/1, 4/5, 7, 8, and 9-12. I started teaching at School District 50 (Haida Gwaii) in 2015. I transferred to School District 52 (Prince Rupert) in 2018.

School District 52 serves the communities of Prince Rupert, Port Edward, Metlakatla, and Hartley Bay (the Gitga’at First Nation), which are within the territory of the Ts’msyen. Neighbouring First Nations include the Gitxsan, Nisga’a, Haida, Haisla, Wet’suwet’en, Heiltsuk. As a regional hub and port city, Prince Rupert families and students include these and other Indigenous communities.

School District 50 serves the communities of Haida Gwaii and is within the territory of the Haida Nation.
