About

Adults at play!
I am a child care worker and community organizer in Vancouver. I also faciliate ECE Learning Circles with other early childhood educators and speak on community-centred child care and play-based teaching and learning practices.
I work to expand the values of unconditional respect and universal dignity for all children and families in British Columbia.
I have extensive experience in early education and care, including as a preschool teacher and director of a child care centre, as an ECE professor at Seneca College in Toronto, as Policy and Communications Advisor for Ontario’s self-regulatory College of Early Childhood Educators and as a professional story teller and science demonstrator at schools, conferences and museums across North America.
I believe that:
- Everyone is born equally worthy of unconditional respect.
- Children are the creators of children’s culture, which is the foundation of all culture.
- We share one Earth. Community stewardship is a shared responsibility.
